The exhibition opens with a reception ceremony on December 3, 2017, 1 - 4 p.m. at the Islamic Cultural Center of Northern California (ICCNC) at 1433 Madison St., Oakland 94612.

Exhibition will run from December 3, 2017 to February 24, 2018. The exhibition will be open to public for viewing on Fridays and Saturdays from 12 to 4 p.m. at the gallery space of the ICCNC (Upper Level).

This exhibition builds on the success of an inaugural Interfaith Art Exhibition in Fall 2011 “Diverse Visions of Harmony”, “Finding Common Ground through Sacred Words” in May 2013, and “We Are the Bridge” in May 2015 featuring a total of over 200 artists.

The exhibition is sponsored by the Islamic Cultural Center of Northern California, Montclair Presbyterian Church, and Kehilla Community Synagogue (forming the Faith Trio) in partnership with Ziya Art Center and Islamic Art Exhibit and it expresses their commitment to the arts and to interfaith relationship building.

Important Note for participating artists on Artwork Installation at the Exhibition

We use hanging wires and chains to install artworks on the wall and nailing the artwork to the wall is absolutely prohibited so please prepare your artwork accordingly.

We have several wooden panels and nailing the artwork to those panels is possible. However, they cannot carry heavy artworks.

Artwork must be properly framed (if 2D) and be ready for hanging with eye screws with hanging wire on the back.

Artists with installations or any 3D artwork should bring their own specific displays such as pedestals.

Please also note that the gallery at ICCNC is a multi-purpose space and will be used for lectures and small programs during the course of the exhibition. So any artwork that might occupy the central spaces of the room will be moved to the corners after the opening reception ceremony.

Please refer to the pictures below that are taken from different exhibitions taken place at the gallery of ICCNC to get a sense of the space.
